The Scarred Lands' Pete: "It stopped being funny years ago."

The Scarred Lands is a rather treacherous place to venture into. The winding tunnels under the mountain are home to dangerous beings, the land before the mountain is rife with dragonsnakes and zombies. The mountain itself? It's somehow even worse, with scores of dragons of all elements waiting to catch unsuspecting prey and have themselves a delicious meal. One man has made it his mission in life to help adventurers climb the mountains and brave the dragons that call it home. That man is simply known as 'Pete the warrior'.

"I grew up in a small town called Cradlebrook," Pete says, a glimmer in his eyes as he recalls his early childhood. He was a young man when he and his father joined an expedition to the Scarred Lands, the promise of gold and wealth beyond measure too tantalizing to heed the warnings of danger that waited them.

"We were ambushed the moment we left the tunnels. Most of us died as we made our way to a safer spot that the miners had erected. I watched my own father die before me." Pete chews on his lower lip a bit before going on about how, from that day forward, he chose to stay in the Scarred Lands and help others avoid the same fate. He worked with the miners, "It's literally every day. Texts, mail, DMs... everyone wants to know if I got head. It stopped being funny years ago." - Pete the Warriorcreating small kegs of powder that would help others venture further up the mountainside. He only asked them for one thing: the head of a dragonsnake, the very thing that took his father's life. Little did Pete know what was in store for him.

"It's literally everyday," he says, his tone one of sheer annoyance. "I get texts, mail, DMs to all of my socials..." Pete would hand us his phone and, true to his word, everything was flooded with a similar message:

'When can I swing by and give you head?' - Sheila, owner of the cat sanctuary

"YEARS!" An exasperated Pete would show us messages dating years back from hundreds, if not thousands of people asking him about 'head'. "It stopped being funny years ago," he added, before taking his phone away and shoving it back into his pocket. Even then, we could hear it buzz once or twice as we continued our conversation. "You know, I used to ask them to stop, but I gave up on that a long time ago."

It was then that an adventurer showed up with a detached dragonsnake head and asked "Are you the guy that I give head to?" We felt it was best at this time to leave, as the rage in Pete's eyes was clearly visible.
